A Brief History

A DIY soap kit sparked founder Bel Mojica's love for the craft back in 1999 — but sourcing quality raw materials locally proved nearly impossible for small makers like her. She turned that frustration into Islas Aromatics, launched in 2008 as a one-stop shop for essential oils, fragrance oils, and craft supplies. By 2011, it had grown into the Philippines' first dedicated online superstore for aromatherapy makers.

Islas Aromatics is proud to partner with Waves for Water Philippines to extend clean water access to underserved communities across the country. Through this partnership, corporate clients looking to give back to far-flung provinces can join a hands-on workshop at Islas, where employees make water filters and soaps together as a team.

The finished products are then donated to a chosen barangay most in need of clean water access — paired with hygiene education that teaches recipients the importance of frequent handwashing using the very soaps made during the workshop.
